Steven Mullaney became the second Notts bowler to prosper with the ball in the Second Eleven Championship match against Leicestershire.

He finished day two with a haul of 5-43 as Leicestershire concluded their second innings with a lead of 370.

Angus Robson hit 103 to prop up an innings in which Mullaney removed four Leicestershire bastmen who failed to register a run.

Nottinghamshire’s unlikely run chase began with Jake Ball promoted to open with a brief to score quickly and he was unbeaten at the close on 13 after losing opening partner Karl Turner.
