Second Eleven Trophy
Nottinghamshire  202-9 (40overs) beat Leicestershire 166 all out (38.1overs) by 36 runs

Scott Elstone had a field day at the Nottingham High School ground as he top scored with 80, took four catches and had a hand in a run out as Notts defeated Leicester with 11 balls to spare in this Second Eleven Trophy fixture.

On a slowish pitch which assisted the medium pace bowlers, Notts struggled for runs. Only Ali Brown (26) ,Sam Wood (21) and Jake Ball (19) posted double figures to assist Elstone

Elstone reached his fifty from 66 balls with just four boundaries and was ninth man out.

He took a smart catch low down at short cover, two more from wayward lofts to extra cover and then a superb catch at cow corner on the boundary edge along with a quick pick up and throw for a run out.

Ed Eckersley (56) and Paul Dixey (32) seemed at one stage to be guiding Leicester home but after their dismissals momentum was lost against the slow attack. Sam Wood took 3-21 from six overs.

Ben Phillips, who had taken two early wickets, then finished the game with a sharp return catch from Sykes to take Notts to four games unbeaten in this competition.
