Notts Premier League
Caythorpe (219-7) 17pts, drew with Notts Academy, (180-8) 8pts

Jimmy Hindson (42), Steve Allcoat and James Oldham (both with 39) were the top scorers for Caythorpe as they had the better of their Premier League encounter with Notts Academy.

The Notts spinners impressed with Adam Dobb taking 2-59 and Sam Wood conceding just 39 from his eleven overs.

George Bacon (2-39) and Brett Hutton (1-28) were the other wicket takers.

Chasing 220 to win, Notts were soon in trouble losing both openers Rowe and Robson with 24 on the board and Sam Wood quickly followed with the score on 48.

When Sam Kelsall was adjudged leg before with his score on 27, the Academy were in need of a stand to re-establish the innings. A fifth wicket stand of 56 between Swann, who top scored with 41, and Andrew Parkin-Coates (24)

looked to have done the job but both were out in quick succession to leave the Academy precariously placed  on 124-6.

Former Notts spinners Jimmy Hindson and Stephen Randall slowed Nottinghamshire’s progress and with Bacon given run out and Dobb bowled by Hindson quickly got worse.

However, a stand of 35 in eight overs from Adeel Shafique (17 not out) and Brett Hutton (24 not out) ensured a draw with the third batting bonus point coming from the final ball of the match.

Hindson finished with 3-38 backed up by Randall with  2-50.
