Kiverton Park 163-9 (2pts) lost to Notts Academy 165-2 (19pts) by 8 wickets

Despite the match being reduced to 46 overs a side due to mid-morning rain, the Academy ran out easy winners against newly promoted Kiverton Park.

Notts asked the vistors to bat and put them early trouble at 68-5. However, Matt Cartwright (66) and Richard Spurr (47) for the fifth wicket to help them to 165-9 at the end of their overs.

Skipper Andrew Parkin-Coates had induced the early collapse with four quick wickets and finished with 4-47. Brett Hutton (3-19) narrowly failed to finish the innings. Sam wood bowled his off breaks economically, conceding only 27 from his ten overs.

Despite losing Michael Robson early, Tom Rowe (53) and Scott Elstone (78 not out from 66 balls) added 120 before Rowe was out for his third consecutive half century with 26 needed. the Academy reaching their target after just 21.5 overs.
