Academy prospects Sam Wood and Brett Hutton have been added to the Nottinghamshire squad to travel to Abu Dhabi and Dubai following the withdrawals of Ben Phillips and Graeme White.

Nottinghamshire face the MCC in the Champion County match before taking part in the Emirates Airline T20.

"Sam had an excellent winter with England Under 19s and Brett has impressed us for a while now and although they might not play on the trip, they'll have an opportunity to be around the squad and to demonstrate that they can be considered in the future," said Nottinghamshire's Acting Director of Cricket Wayne Noon.

"We're not sure of the extent of the injuries to Ben and Graeme but they will stay behind for treatment."

Phillips and White turned their ankles in a training session on Friday and face a battle to prove their fitness ahead of Nottinghamshire's opening LV= County Championship match against Hampshire on Thursday 14th April.
