The Trent Bridge Community and Development team is looking to recruit six apprentices to take part in a new work placement scheme that seeks to equip applicants with the skills required to secure a career in sport.

The department won the best community scheme prize at the ECB Business of Cricket Awards last year for its work in staging a structured cricket competition for 2010 school pupils.

Successful applicants will be required to have a minimum UKCC L1 coaching award and will assist in the delivery of School festivals, holiday coaching programmes, match day coaching and cricket roadshows across Nottinghamshire. They will work alongside full-time sports development officers for an eight week period beginning in June and will receive a weekly expenses allowance.

To apply for a place on the scheme or for further information, please contact Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Community Development Officer Martyn Dobson on 01159823000 or email martyn.dobson@nccc.co.uk
