Andre Adams has been passed fit to play in Notts Outlaws NatWest Pro40 game against Durham Dynamos at The Riverside.

A virus kept Adams out of the four day fixture but he will lead a young seam attack as Notts attempt to salvage something from their north east road trip.

Akhil Patel will bat at number six with Matt Wood, Alex Hales and Mark Wagh comprising the top three.

“We asked Akhil to open last time out but he’s perhaps a bit more comfortable at number six,” said Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

“Alex Hales is in good form and we’ve got experienced players around him and it is very important to have Andre available again because we need him to be match fit for the final Championship match.

“I would expect Durham to name a relatively young side having won the Championship the day before but they will be competitive and we’ll have to match them.”

Bilal Shafayat will keep wicket in the absence of Chris Read and Matt Wood will deputise as captain.
