Notts Outlaws will face Ireland, Hampshire Hawks, Worcestershire Royals and Leicestershire Foxes in the Friends Provident Trophy next season.

The Outlaws finished second in the Midlands group this year but were eliminated by Durham at the quarter-final stage.

Following the abolition of regional groups, Scotland and Ireland were kept apart with the 18 county sides randomly drawn into four groups.

Notts Director of Cricket Mick Newell is keen to push for one day honours next season.

“The opposition is irrelevant at the group stage and we just have to maintain an inward perspective and concentrate on our own performances,” he said.

“Winning a one day trophy has been a long-term target and we have a lot of players who can impress in 50 over cricket.”

Lord’s will host the 2009 Friends Provident Trophy Final will on Saturday July 25.
