Pakistani leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed has been named in the Sussex side to face Nottinghamshire in the LV County Chmapionship at Trent Bridge from Tuesday.

Mushtaq took 90 wickets to help Sussex to a second successive LV County Championship crown last season and will be joined by West Indian seamer Corey Collymore in the visitors' bowling attack.

Notts Director of Cricket Mick Newell has named a Notts side unchanged from that which beat Lancashire last week with in-form bowlers Darren Pattinson and Charlie Shreck to spearhead the attack.

"We expected Mushtaq to re-appear and he is a world class player and a threat that we will have to deal with," said Newell.

"At this stage of the season, bonus points are vital and it's important to win the lwo-scoring games.

"We aren't batting at top form at the moment and I would like to see us post a big first innings total and dominate a game from that position.

"The bowlers are performing well and Darren has taken a lot of people by surprise and he's been a breath of fresh air over the past few weeks."

Will Jefferson and Matt Wood will open the batting for Notts.

Play begins at 11am.

Notts: Will Jefferson, Matt Wood, Mark Wagh, Adam Voges, Samit Patel, Chris Read, Graeme Swann, Mark Ealham, Paul Franks, Darren Pattinson, Charlie Shreck

Sussex (probable): C Nash, C Hopkinson, M Yardy, M Goodwin, C Adams, M Prior, L Wright, R Martin-Jenkins, M Ahmed, R Aga, C Collymore
