Steve Elworthy, Tournament Director for ICC World Twenty20 England 2009, has revealed that the tickets for the international event will go on sale on June 30, 2008.

Steve said: ‘This is a fantastic chance to see the best Twenty20 players in the world playing for the best international teams in front of capacity grounds and global television audiences. The ICC World Twenty20 in
South Africa in 2007 set the benchmark for staging Twenty20 cricket. Now in England in 2009 we will be aiming to raise that standard.’

The matches will be played at Lord’s, The Oval and Trent Bridge with the women’s group matches staged at Taunton before becoming integrated with the men’s event at the semi final and final stages.

‘We have 42 matches on 15 match days involving 20 teams. This is your chance to be a part of it all.’
