July 6: Derbyshire Phantoms v Notts Outlaws

Director of Cricket Newell is looking for a repeat of the performance that downed Yorkshire Phoenix at the weekend as we take on neighbours Derbyshire.

He said: ?Our two wins so far in the competition came with good all-round performances against Lancashire and Yorkshire and there?s no reason why we can?t do it again.

?We have talked and laid out more plans and tactics for this competition than any other. At times the players have got those plans right and in others they have not.

?But it?s important we get a win against Derbyshire to keep confidence high ahead of the Championship game with Glamorgan at Trent Bridge on Friday.

?It?s in effect the start of the first half of the season for us. We are in a good position in the Championship and need a good result to keep the pressure on the leaders in Division One.?

Injury news:
Stephen Fleming and Mark Ealham are again rested for the trip to Derby, with young left-arm seamer Mark Footitt added to the squad along with off-spinner Paul McMahon, who has returned from Oxford University.

Footitt is in line for his debut appearance for Notts, while McMahon would be playing for the first time this season.

Squad:
Will Smith, Swann, Hussey, Clough, Read (cap/wkt), Patel, Warren, Franks, Alleyne, Greg Smith, Harris, McMahon, Footitt.
