AJ Harris Benefit Year 2008
AJ Harris has deservedly been awarded a benefit in 2008 for his services to English County cricket. He has spent 15 seasons as a professional cricketer, playing for Derbyshire (1993-1999), Nottinghamshire (2000-present) and toured Australia with England A in 1996.
During his first-class career, the fast bowler has led the bowling attack at Derby and Notts with 406 wickets and won many fans thanks to his fearless, never-say-die attitude.
He has attained a Word Guinness Book of Records listing, received the Notts 'Player of the Season' award in 2002 and played a significant part in lifting the Frizzell County Championship Trophy in 2005, as well as helping the Notts Outlaws to finish as runners-up in the NatWest Pro-40 League in 2007.
